Today is National Close the Gap Day, and International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
The 2024 Close the Gap Campaign Report highlights examples of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses that are aimed at empowering our peoples and securing a prosperous future through nation-building, reclamation of ancestral land, ancient and contemporary trade, and leadership.

While SUFY acknowledges that there is a need to decrease the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with a disability who are incarcerated, who are not properly supported by the education department, or housed in accessible homes, we recognise that the community has the answers and through self-determination can work towards solving these problems.
