Speaking Up For You would like to announce it’s support for the Uluru Statement from the Heart and proposed establishment of an Indigenous Voice to Parliament (Voice).
We acknowledge the rich and deep history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and believe they have a right to participation in decision making that affects them. This is fundamental to achieving better outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. As a disability advocacy organisation, SUFY’s core values are centred around these principles.
SUFY acknowledges that there will be a diversity of views about the Voice and we encourage everyone to seek out factual information when making their decision.
